Video: Andrew Bynum's Playboy Golf Hula Hoop Rehab

Andrew Bynum is getting some heat for staying in L.A. this weekend and partying at Playboy's Celebrity Golf Scramble while the Lakers were on a road trip. He is currently rehabbing his knee, and I guess some people think that means he needs to be at physical therapy 24 hours a day. The picture below of Bynum giving a piggy-back ride to Playmate Nicole Narain on Saturday night has been all over the internet (as originally reported by SI's Arash Markazi).

Yardbarker was covering the Playboy Golf event, and I ran into Bynum on Friday on the golf course. In all fairness, he made a point NOT to golf (contrary to what Sports Center reported). He spent most of the time sitting at the clubhouse and I had to convince him to get up from his table and visit a few of the tees to hang out. He was trying not to draw too much media attention to what was just a harmless day of fun, so I wasn't planning to post any video of him. But since the word is out now, I'll share this video which shows just how harmless his "partying" was.       I don't see anything wrong with this,Besides isn't the coaches that had him stay back in L.A. while the Lakers are on their road trip,besides he is living the life...I ain't mad atcha Andrew,lol

    these young cats don't realize the rare opportunity a finals match up is. they get there once and assume that they'll get back multiple times in their career. i agree, in part that it's not that big a deal, but also agree with you this is a business year. lets take care of rehab, keep a low profile, tcob during the playoffs and save the playmates until the off season.

  people are making such a big deal about this because he's hurt. but if he's two weeks away from playing like they say he is, his knee is fine, and he's just getting re-adjusted to basketball movements, pounding, and the level of conditioning. the stress playing an NBA game puts on his knee is 1000% more than chillin on the golf course, even with an 89 pound woman on his shoulders. ;-)

    LOL. no way he'd be anywhere close to playing if that were a possibility. i'm sure he squats more than 3 of her on a regular basis.

  Just because he can hoola hoop for a minute doesn't mean he can run on a court and shoot hoops for half an hour. If I were him I don't think I'd be getting any better with doctors surrounding me 24/7 and taking shots and medication all day; he needed to let loose for a little while. Geesh, give the guy a break. I could see you guys making a huge deal out of it if the Lakers were really slumping, but their not. Let the guy breathe a bit before he has to go back and take the real punch during playoffs.

  in case you people didn't know phil jackson said the other day after their win against the rockets that bynum was 80-90 percent healed and he expected him to come back before the playoffs begin. nothin wrong with what hes doing its not like he was runing around with chicks on his shoulders all day.
