Tasty teaser: Load up on Trojans for the weekend

Week 4 of the college football season featured three games on Thursday, but luckily for you, our go-to teaser focuses on a pair of Saturday games. USC and Michigan might be playing 3-0 teams, but that doesn't concern us enough to not include both in this week's best college football teaser.

Michigan plays host to the 3-0 Maryland Terrapins, and there's a pretty good chance the Wolverines lead by 11 at the half and never look back. The original spread is set at -17, but with the teaser, the spread drops to -11. Expect a fired-up Maryland squad at "The Big House" after pulling out a 34-27 comeback win last week against SMU. No knock on SMU, but the Wolverines are on a completely different level.

Michigan has scored 50+ points in each of its first three games and haven't allowed more than 10 points in any game. Even against a Terrapins squad that has scored 30+ points in all its games, don't expect that to change on Saturday. J.J. McCarthy hasn't disappointed since being named the team's starting quarterback, and believe it or not, the Michigan defense might be better than they were a year ago.

As for the second leg, we're taking USC +0.5 on the teaser. The spread is set at -5.5, but with the teaser, all you need is a USC win. Oregon State will be the Trojans' toughest test so far this season, but Lincoln Riley's high-powered offense has USC buzzing for the first time since Pete Carroll was coaching the Trojans.

Caleb Williams and Jordan Addison are arguably the best QB-WR combination in the nation, and while the Trojans' defense may give up some points, they've forced 10 turnovers in just three games. USC is averaging over 50 points a game, and they should have little trouble getting to 40 in this one. This game might be close for a while, but expect USC to pull away in the fourth quarter.

The Bet: Michigan (-17) to (-11) and USC (-5.5) to (+0.5) (+116 odds via Barstool)
