DeMar DeRozan finished with just two rebounds on Monday night to go under his prop of 4.5 and cash our first Look of the Day in April. Let's keep the dream of an undefeated month alive with our favorite bet for Tuesday night's MLB slate.
If sportsbooks are going to keep giving us plus-money run lines on opposing teams playing in a barren Oakland Coliseum, we're going to take it all year long. The Oakland Athletics have no home-field advantage to speak of, and the support from their dwindling fan base might still be better than their talent on the field.
The A's are 1-4 through five games, and they've already been outscored 38-11. All four of their losses have come by at least two runs. Oakland ranks 28th in MLB in runs per game (2.2), 27th in strikeout percentage, 24th in team batting average (.200), 25th in team ERA (6.4) and dead last in errors per game (2.6). This is an embarrassing organization, and it just sent Esteury Ruiz, the best hitter on the team to start the season, to Triple-A.
The Red Sox, on the other hand, have the best ERA in baseball to start the season (1.62). Boston will be rolling with Brayan Bello, who gave up just two earned runs in five innings in his season debut against the Seattle Mariners. Alex Wood, who gave up six earned runs in 3.1 innings against the Cleveland Guardians, will be on the bump for Oakland.
We're going to keep fading the A's until the books adjust.
