One takeaway from the 2023-24 NFL regular season was the Las Vegas Raiders finishing with an improved secondary on the Silver and Black defense.

There is no doubt that Jack Jones impacted the Raiders' secondary once he was signed mid-season by the Silver and Black after being released by the New England Patriots.

Jones finished the season with a Pro Football Focus grade of 71.6, a run defense grade of 81.7, a pass rush grade of 69.4, and a coverage grade of 71.9.

In his first season with the Silver and Black, Jones ended with 30 solo tackles and two interceptions in seven games played.

His best performances came from Weeks 14 and 15 of the 2023-24 NFL regular season. Against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 14, Jones finished the game with five combined tackles and an impressive 16-yard one-handed pick-six touchdown. Jones finished the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day in Week 15 with five combined tackles and a 33-yard pick-six touchdown.

On a recent episode of the Las Vegas Raiders Insider Podcast, our own Hondo, Carpenter Sr., had the chance to share his thoughts on Jones and why he is a money-year player for the Silver and Black defense, as well as highlighting Patrick Graham and Antonio Pierce with the connections both have had on Jones as a player.

"I am a total buyer of Jack Jones. This guy played like an all-pro last year under the tutelage of the leadership of Patrick Graham and Antonio Pierce. Antonio Pierce had a relationship with him going back to high school, so he kept him focused, and the leadership of Patrick Graham was phenomenal in his life.

Jones looks to make an impact as a cornerback for the Silver and Black defense again next season.
