In his three-game stint with the Los Angeles Rams, quarterback Baker Mayfield has looked better than he did at any point during his seven-game stop with the Carolina Panthers.
Guiding the Rams to two wins in three weeks, and on the heels of a near-perfect outing against the Denver Broncos last week, Mayfield is earning rave reviews from many, including two-time NFL MVP Kurt Warner.
“It’s about finding the right place,” Warner said in a recent film breakdown. “He bounces around to a couple of places and it’s not a right fit. …He’s found himself in a place that plays to his strengths. Even though he has only been there a short period of time, what they do makes it easier for a quarterback like Baker Mayfield.”
"The culture that has been set...prior to me being here...it's about winning and competing."

In the win over Denver, Mayfield completed 24-of-28 passes for 230 yards, two touchdowns and a 124.7 passer rating.
In his three appearances with L.A., Mayfield has thrown for 571 yards and four touchdowns while completing 69% of his passes.
Mayfield also has just one interception since joining the Rams; he had six in seven games with the Panthers.
While Mayfield has likely salvaged his career and at least given himself a few options heading into 2023, Los Angeles may be just be the best place for him.
Matthew Stafford will be 35 next season and returning from a spinal cord contusion. Mayfield, who’s only 27, could wait it out and eventually take over the Rams starting job down the road.
