The Miami Dolphins are taking their show on the road, and that's thanks in part to someone else taking their show to Hard Rock Stadium.
The NFL has reportedly admitted that the Taylor Swift concert scheduled to take place at Hard Rock Stadium from October 18-20 was a factor in how the Dolphins' schedule was put together.
NFL's Mike North said the league had to account for Taylor Swift in its scheduling, with her having NFL stadium dates in Miami, New Orleans and Indy. He said no consideration was made to have Chiefs at Bills close to her concert date in Toronto, despite conspiracy theories.

The reason that is particularly relevant is that date falls in an absolute chasm between the Dolphins' third and fourth home games of the season. The Dolphins play the Tennessee Titans at home on Monday Night football on September 30. They host the Arizona Cardinals on October 27. Their next home game isn't until November 17 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
That means that, between their matchups with the Titans and Raiders, the team plays just one game at home. That's a 48-day stretch. Miami has its bye week during Week 6 as part of that period. That all translates to just one home game for the month of October.
It's pretty odd to see a team go that long with just one home game. The Colts have a long streak themselves, with just one home game - against Miami on October 20 - between home games on September 29 and November 10. The Saints managed to avoid getting such a stretch, as they have at least two home games for each of September, October, November, and December.
Miami is going to have to get used to life on the road, particularly during that stretch. All while Swift and her legion of Swifties enjoy themselves inside the friendly confines of Hard Rock Stadium.
